Hello, my name is Austin. I'm a Somerville resident and a recent English and Information Technology graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I'm interested in a range of topics including reading, technology and history.

Work History

My most recent job was as a Legal Assistant at Project Law Group in Cambridge MA. In this position, I worked closely with an immigration lawyer to write EB-1A and O-1A Individual of Extraordinary Ability applications to assist people in fulfilling their dream of working in the United States.

While I was at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I worked as a Computer Support Technician for the College of Education, where I helped resolve numerous technical problems and found creative solutions for various tasks. In this role, I frequently solved website issues on Drupal and Wordpress, created Qualtrics surveys for faculty and was the primary driving force behind solving any general technical issues and helping find ways to solve creative faculty and staff tech projects.

I was also employed as an IT Student Ambassador at the University of Massachusetts, where I provided feedback on how websites could be improved and made more accessible for students, faculty, and staff. In this role, I completed feedback forms analyzing sites for usability and accessibility.

I also worked as a Student Archivist at Special Collections and University Archives for a period of two years, where I helped preserve historical materials and made them accessible to researchers and the public.

Outside of my professional roles, I have a YouTube channel where I record and archive local music: https://www.youtube.com/@reddotrecordings
